Christophe travels to every corner of the planet in the steps of nomadic peoples. He experiences their everyday life and follows their seasonal migrations and tries to understand their culture better by taking part in their activities. On his way, he comes across modern "nomads" such as long-distance truck drivers and smugglers. His journeys so far have taken him to the Himalayan landscapes of Ladakh, to the harsh desert of Niger, the frozen tundra of Siberia and the highlands of Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan is a small Central Asian republic wedged between the Chinese giant, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Carrefour legendary on Roads Silk, the country of high mountains and grassy plateaus is the birthplace of the tribes Kyrgyz nomads. Christopher reveals how the Kyrgyz have preserved their nomadic spirit despite the tests of time and modernity.
