Nakon niza sumnjivih smrti zbog hepatitisa u odjelu prof. Antoninija udruga koju vode Francesca i Claudio stat će u obranu obitelji žrtava. Taj se odjel zatvara, a primarijusa optužuju za ubojstvo iz nehaja. Luca traži tragove epidemije zajedno sa zgodnom policijskom načelnicom Fresu. Otkrit će da Antonini ima puno neprijatelja koji žele okaljati njegov ugled velikog eksperimentatora i da je situacija složenija nego što se čini.
