With the Tardis wrecked by the Time Lord's regeneration, he crash-lands in a quiet English village, where he finds himself in need of a new companion. Perfectly placed for the job is Amy Pond, who joins him to help fend off the Atraxi, thuggish galactic policemen who have appeared through a crack in her bedroom wall in pursuit of a mysterious criminal. Starring Matt Smith and Karen Gillan, with guest appearances by Nina Wadia (EastEnders' Zainab Masood) and Annette Crosbie (One Foot in the Grave).
