Goldie Hawn took a break from her usual frothy comedies for this flawed but mildly diverting and, at times, violent thriller. Hawn is happily married to John Heard, only to discover after his death in an accident that she knew very little about him - and is he really dead? Despite her best efforts, Hawn lacks credibility in the pivotal role, so it's left to the ever-excellent Heard to make the most of what is, sadly, one of his rare leading roles. Damian Harris, son of actor Richard Harris, generates some suspense as director, but the climax is just plain silly.
