Students Brooke and Tim, both aged 23, who became inseparable when they met in their first term at university, become parents for the first time and have difficulty deciding on a name for their baby, while things don't go according to plan in theatre for 40-year-old Hayley. She is afraid of being separated from her 23-year-old partner Nick, after he became critically ill during the pregnancy as a result of contracting pneumonia and septicaemia. Meanwhile, Tara, aged 36, has chosen her 16-year-old daughter Courtney as her birthing partner.
