SINOPSIS
Archive footage explores Britain's rich fishing traditions throughout the 20th century, exploring why some ports thrived as others failed. Film-maker Alan Hopper recalls the decline of industrial fishing in Hull, and sailors from the area remember the dangers of working in the North Sea and Atlantic Ocean, while fishermen from the Aberdeenshire port of Peterhead and the Cornish town of St Ives watch archive footage of their crews at work.
