Stephan Derrick is a chief inspector with the Munich police. Along with his assistant Harry Klein, he has to solve murder cases. This show is based more on psychological methods to find out who the murderer was than on action scenes or car chases. Derrick prefers to talk to people and learn more about their personalities. The phone is therefore a very important instrument to him.
