Inače, granica Rimskog carstva na teritoriji današnje Srbije prolazi kroz Panonsku ravnicu, preko Singidunuma, Viminacijuma, kroz Đerdapsku klisuru. Naš put je počeo od važnog čvorišta na Dunavu, kod utvrđenja Lederata, a onda nizvodno, prateći granicu nekada moćne rimske imperije, prošli smo kroz Gvozdena vrata Đerdapa, sve do Trajanovog mosta.
