Serija ČAROLIJA najpoznatija je talijanska TV serija, nakon "Hobotnice". Radnja ove popularne serije, koja je postigla veliki uspjeh i kod naše publike, vrti se oko klinike Life u Rimu, i temelji se na ljubavnim pričama liječnika, medicinskog osoblja i odvjetnika koji u njoj rade. Idejna začetnica i scenaristica serije, od prve do sedme sezone, je Maria Venturi, a autori glazbe, osnovnog umjetničkog elementa ove serije, su Guido i Maurizio De Angelis. U svojim epizodama, osobito tijekom prvih šest sezona, osim ljubavnih priča i intriga, "Čarolija" prilično ozbiljno obrađuje i aktualne socijalne teme kao što su ovisnost, nasilje nad ženama, imigracija, birokracija itd. Deset epizoda prve sezone "Čarolije", prikazanih u Italiji u ljeto 1998., režirao je slavni redatelj Gianni Lepre. Serija je postigla veliki uspjeh kod publike, a gledanost je u prosjeku iznosila 4 milijuna gledatelja.
