SYNOPSIS

In Stockholm Katarina Fredholm is tired of her labor as cook and gives up.On the same day she gets a letter from her great-aunt Augusta telling her that great-uncle Johann has dead.So Katarina decides to travel with her daughter Annika to the island and to spend together some days and help Augusta to manage her restaurant.On the other side Sven Swedenborg, a rich businessman, and Marita Tomasson arrive on same island to celebrate the birthday of Viveca Swedenborg, Sven's mother.As inheritance of her great-uncle Katarina received a boot and is driving the boot when nearly she shocks with Sven's boot.After the exchange of strong words Sven recognizes Katarina because she prepared for him a very good herring dish in Stockholm.Also Sven hires Katarina's services to prepare the birthday party.But Viveca gets notice that Katarina is the great-niece of Augusta and she doesn't agree with deal of her son about the birthday party.
