SYNOPSIS

Reese and Finch are taken aback when the Machine's latest number belongs to Joss Carter - the detective who is perilously close to uncovering their secret operation. The duo discover her life is in danger, and draw up a list of three possible suspects - a gun runner, an allegedly abusive husband, and an ambitious mobster. However, they struggle to keep her safe while also retaining their anonymity.
