Up the Women: The Romance

SYNOPSIS

New series. The comedy set in 1910 transfers from BBC Four as it continues to follow the struggles of a women's suffrage group. The members' attempt at a hunger strike in support of their sisters is thwarted when Gwen arrives with cheese for everyone. Meanwhile, Emily is initially angry that Helen is trying to set her up with eligible bachelor Bertie Smuth, while Myrtle suspects there's something amiss and encourages Thomas to challenge Bertie for Emily's affections.
