SYNOPSIS

Douglas Henshall stars in this two-part drama about a Shetlands detective leading a murder investigation that uncovers secrets and lies from the past. An archaeologist discovers a set of human remains, but before it can be proven whether the find is ancient or contemporary, local woman Mima Wilson is shot dead on the same site. The police investigation uncovers a deep division between the victim's family and rich local clan the Haldanes, so members of the latter fall under suspicion - especially when it transpires that one was out shooting on the night of the murder and another lacks a convincing alibi. Alison O'Donnell, Gemma Chan and Steven Robertson co-star. Concludes tomorrow.
