Behind every great song is a great songwriter, and in this ground-breaking competition format, the songwriter takes center stage. "Songland" provides undiscovered songwriters with the opportunity to prove they have what it takes to make the next chart-topping hit. Each week, talented songwriters get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pitch and perform their original songs to a panel of renowned producers and a top recording artist in the music industry. Three songwriters are then chosen by the celebrity guest recording artist to work with the producers to bring their songs to life. One song is then selected by the celebrity artist to be recorded and released worldwide. Featuring record breaking musical talents such as the Jonas Brothers, John Legend, will.i.am, and Kelsea Ballerini just to name a few, this innovative competition series seeks to launch the winning songwriter’s career, cementing their legacy in music history forever.
