Nakon što je Napoleon Bonaparta naredio njen progon, ona objavljuje velika dela koja će obeležiti istoriju književnosti - to su Delfina, Korina, ili o Italiji i O Nemačkoj.Ova književnica velike intelektualne širine celog života borila se za ženska prava.
