Michelangelo je bio čovjek iznimne inteligencije i spektakularnog talenta, a njegova djela impresioniraju nas i danas. Bilo da je riječ o stropu Sikstinske kapele ili njegovim klasičnim slikama, njegova djela nezaobilazni su simboli renesansne umjetnosti.
Budući da je bio kipar, slikar, arhitekt i pjesnik, Michelangelo je svojim darom izvršio utjecaj na sve umjetničke sfere i postigao status majstora trajno obilježivši povijest umjetnosti.
