SYNOPSIS

Ovaj film je posveta omiljenom japanskom glumcu Kiyoshiju Atsumiju i liku Tora-sana, trgovačkog putnika, vagabunda dobroga srca koji kronično nema sreće u ljubavi. Atsumi je nastupao u svih 48 komedija, od 1969. do smrti 1995. godine. Tada je redatelj Yamada odlučio prestati snimati komedije o Tora-sanu.
Studio Shochiku je za kina 1997. napravio posebno izdanje filma "Tora i Lily na Okinawi" iz 1980. Kao okvirna radnja pridodane su scene s nećakom Mitsuom (H. Yoshioka), uz primjenu kompjutorske grafike, koji je sada trgovački putnik i prodaje cipele.
