The Same But Different

SYNOPSIS

One could almost believe that two people who have just fallen in love are kissing tenderly here. In fact, Jan and Katja have just come from the divorce court, who ended what had started promisingly - a harmonious, fulfilling married and family life. However, building a house together was too much for their relationship. While a dream came true for Katja, the construction was pure torture for Jan. He withdrew more and more and began an affair. When Katja finds out about the infidelity, there is only one consequence for her: divorce. Oddly enough, the tablecloth between the two wasn't actually cut after the divorce. Jan, previously trapped in the unloved existence as a tax consultant, changes his life radically and leases a restaurant. Katja suddenly experiences a "new" Jan - and falls in love with him again. Just now he starts a relationship with the charming waitress Aimee. And so the back and forth goes on. Over the next eleven years, they both get involved with other partners, fail and rediscover their feelings for each other - unfortunately never together. They don't have the right timing, and so Katja is about to marry her solid colleague Bernhard. Jan has to do something.
