SYNOPSIS

The early 1980s brought a rash of fantasy adventures, ranging from the camp fun of Conan the Barbarian to such dire examples as The Sword and the Sorcerer. This one, which follows a magician's assistant on his quest to kill a dragon, is aimed more at a family audience, though it's not without its violent moments. It doesn't take itself too seriously and benefits from a good cast that includes Ralph Richardson and John Hallam. The effects aren't bad either.
