SYNOPSIS

At some point it just happened: after 40 years together, Elli Berger-Voigt and Dr. Robert Berger in ruins. The wild times had become routine. First he started an affair with his office assistant Chrissi, then she threw herself into the arms of her 22-year-old driver Micha in order to experience adventure again. As a highly regarded couples therapist, Elli should have known better. But now, three years after the end of her marriage, she is struggling with herself, her decisions and the significant age difference to her lover. To make matters worse, Robert and his ex-wife have still not managed to confront their grown-up children with the fact of their divorce. With her new therapy bestseller "Nothing but Truth", Elli is currently back on the medial course, but she herself is not too keen on honesty. That is why the married couple, who have long been separated, want to keep up the good looks for the Christmas family reunion this year and play the ideal world scenario of a supposedly happy couple relationship for their children.However, the two did not expect the tenacity of their new partners. Neither Micha nor Chrissi want to spend the holidays alone and defiantly stay in Elli's house. For better or worse, the hosts have to come to terms with this unusual situation.
