SYNOPSIS

Godine 1937., dvije godine nakon "Maksimove mladosti", Grigorij Kozincev i Leonid Trauberg snimaju drugi dio trilogije o Maksimu, "Maksimov povratak". Paradigmatska socrealistička priča se nastavlja. Radnja filma polako se bliži revoluciji. Boris Čirkov osvaja sovjetske radnike onako kako će desetljeće kasnije John Wayne osvajati američke. Glazbu je ponovno skladao Dmitri Šoštakovič. Godinu dana poslije trilogija je okončana filmom 'Viborška strana'.
