SYNOPSIS

Two weeks before her marriage, April (Sherilyn Fenn), well-born daughter of a powerful Alabama senator, gets an itch to take off with the sexy carnival worker Perry (Richard Tyson). Her rich grandmother (Louise Fletcher) and the local sheriff (Burl Ives) conspire to halt the union.
