SYNOPSIS

You get two Jean-Claude Van Dammes for the price of one in this gleaming comic-strip action adventure from director Peter Hyams. The Muscles from Brussels encounters his younger self - and sports a silly hairdo - when he's sent back in time to catch a sinister senator (Ron Silver) who's trying to change the past for his own monetary ends. If you can follow the time-travel logic, which everyone seems to be making up as they go along, then this will make for dumb fun, with good old Jean-Claude causing as much futuristic Van Dammage as possible. However, most sci-fi fans will find it desperately outdated. Best exchange - Jean-Claude: "He read my mind." Jean-Claude's wife: "With your English, I'm not surprised."
