SYNOPSIS

Even those who prefer their heavy metal without tattoos can't fail to be impressed by the sheer scale of Iron Maiden's 2008 world tour: 23 concerts on five continents in just 45 days. Their tour bus is a Boeing 757, piloted by frontman Bruce Dickinson, who like the rest of the band turns out to be a polite, affable chap. We start in Mumbai where, three decades into their career, the Maiden are inspiring a new wave of hard rock. Devotees will adore the logistics; the rest of us can marvel at their ardour - like the Sao Paulo priest who proudly shows off his 162 Maiden tattoos.
