SYNOPSIS

Ben Fogle uncovers one of the untold stories of the Falklands War - that of the small garrison of British Marines stationed on the Islands when Argentina invaded 40 years ago - and the battle they fought against near-impossible odds. Fogle hears from veterans of Naval Party 8901 who, with fewer than 70 lightly armed men, were left to face an Argentine invading force some ten times that number. With new revelations from recently declassified documents, he travels to the Falklands to ask why they were given virtually no prior warning of the invasion and hears how, four decades after media reports of British 'surrender', the men of Naval Party 8901 want the true story of this forgotten battle to come out.
