Ginger Snaps III

SYNOPSIS

The third instalment in the Ginger Snaps horror series is a pseudo-prequel that sets us down in the Canadian backwoods of 1815. Katharine Isabelle and Emily Perkins again play sisters called Brigitte and Ginger Fitzgerald, but here they're forced to seek shelter in an isolated trading post, while trekking across a wintry landscape. Once again, Ginger is bitten by a wolf and the siblings have to hide her secret, as the embattled traders are under siege from lycanthropes. However, it lacks the dark humour of the original films and director Grant Harvey does little justice to the atmospheric setting.
