SYNOPSIS

Cai, 10, is suffering the impact of a war happening many miles from his home in Wales. His soldier father, Jon, was wounded in that war and is now physically damaged and mentally fragile. Cai and his mum Maria are finding it hard to love this new man in their lives. On holiday on a windswept beach Cai befriends Amir, a refugee from the same war who has somehow got washed up alone. A stateless waif, Amir hopes desperately to be reunited with his own father from whom he's become separated when they crossed the globe hoping to find a new and peaceful life. This meeting of the boys from two very different worlds is the catalyst for the beginning of healing for them both.
