SYNOPSIS

Prema predviđanju Ujedinjenih naroda, 2050. godine na Zemlji će živjeti između 8,3 i 10,9 milijardi ljudi. Kako prehraniti planet kada se 80% obradivih površina već iskorištava u poljoprivredi? Globalno zagrijavanje svake godine izaziva uragane, poplave i suše koji uništavaju usjeve. Društvo će se u nadolazećim desetljećima suočiti s važnim pitanjem kako povećati proizvodnju hrane unatoč narušenoj klimi. Znanstvenici već traže odgovor u Vijetnamu, jednom od najvećih svjetskih proizvođača riže. Primjenom GMO-a i molekularne biologije nastale su sorte otporne na posljedice elementarnih nepogoda. Marie-Pier i Emilie ovaj put ćemo sresti u zaljevu Halong. Upoznat će nas s najnovijim znanstvenim otkrićima koja će pomoći da se 2050. proizvede dovoljno hrane za devet milijardi ljudi.
