SYNOPSIS

Gongang Šinđi je čuveni festival u svetilištu Sugo-Isobe u Išikavi. Ta svetkovina se prenosi s kolena na koleno već 1.300 godina i održava se svake godine 10. februara.
Legenda kaže da je festival počeo kao način da se meštani otarase zmija koje uništavaju useve. Oni se mole za bogate prinose kada stigne proleće i u danima pre festivala grad počinje da se priprema. Meštani donose novogodišnje ukrase i talismane, a običaj je da ih spale na festivalskoj vatri po strogo utvrđenim smernicama.
