SYNOPSIS

"The Prosecutors: Real Crime and Punishment" is an observational documentary following the work of the Crown Prosecution Service over an 18-month period. Three episodes focus on particular case studies throughout their entire process. Those featuring in the series include offices in Cheshire and Merseyside. Huge responsibilities and decisions are placed in their hands on an everyday basis, as the teams must review each case based on the evidence provided. The group sets the guidelines for sentences and adjusts charges based on the weight of the crimes involved.
