SYNOPSIS

Kyoto je više od tisuću godina, od 794. do1868., bio prijestolnica Japana i njegovo političko središte. Danas je ukupno 17 zgrada upisano na popis svjetske kulturne baštine, uključujući dvorce, hramove i svetišta.
Nara je također bila stara prijestolnica Japana, sve dok prijestolnica nije preseljena u Kyoto. I grad Nara poznat je po svojim znamenitostima svjetske kulturne baštine poput Buddhine dvorane hrama Todaija, Velikog svetišta Kasuge i hrama Horyua.
