SYNOPSIS

New series. A look at capital punishment through the eyes of young people whose lives have been shaped by it, including interviews from those on death row and their families. This episode features the case of 27-year-old Daniel Lopez, who was pulled over for driving erratically in 2009, with the subsequent car chase leading to the death of a police officer. Daniel was given the death penalty and is resisting all appeals to block his execution - despite the best efforts of his family and state-appointed attorneys.
