SYNOPSIS

Alfred and Uhtred are united as they leave the safety of the marshlands, knowing they must get word to Saxon forces to assemble and fight a decisive battle for the future of Wessex and England. Treachery, deception and heartache follow as the warriors fight to save their land - but at what personal cost to Uhtred? Alexander Dreymon stars in the epic medieval drama charting the battle between the Danes and Saxons, based on the book by Bernard Cornwell, with David Dawson, Ian Hart, Charlie Murphy, Adrian Bower and Sean Gilder.
