SYNOPSIS

Jack learns he is tipped for promotion with the uniform branch and even more flattered to discover he has a secret admirer, but before he has time to bask in this rare moment of glory a child murder claims his attention. Linking the disappearance of a 10-year-old boy to a mysterious hit-and-run killing, he is soon mired in a complex investigation and fuming about a bureaucratic blunder that leaves a known paedophile walking free on his patch. David Jason stars.
