SYNOPSIS

The Oxford detective faces a tough time while looking into a murder at a peaceful college. After suffering the familiar pangs of unrequited love, he clashes with the unpleasant college master and then unwittingly provides his main suspects with a watertight alibi. John Thaw and Kevin Whately star, with Robert Stephens, Amanda Burton and Philip Middlemiss.
