SYNOPSIS

Mrs Bennet spots an opportunity to marry off another of her daughters with the arrival of clergyman Mr Collins. However, Elizabeth is unable to take his proposal seriously, being too preoccupied with a handsome newcomer who poisons her mind further against Mr Darcy. Alison Steadman, Jennifer Ehle and David Bamber star in Andrew Davies' adaptation of Jane Austen's classic novel.
