Wolf Hall: Der Kardinal

SYNOPSIS

Anne Boleyn summons Cromwell, anxious to know whether she has an ally in him, and he witnesses her venting her frustrations on her ladies-in-waiting. The king starts to take notice of Cromwell and comes to rely on the lawyer's advice, but then news arrives from York that Cardinal Wolsey has been arrested by Harry Percy, a vengeful act for denying his betrothal to Anne eight years earlier. Historical drama adapted from Hilary Mantel's Booker prize-winning novels Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies, starring Mark Rylance, Damian Lewis, Claire Foy and Jonathan Pryce.
