Silent Witness: Protection

SYNOPSIS

A suspected paedophile is found dead in a playground, so inexperienced detective Rory Drennan calls in Nikki and Jack to attend. It's not long before the team links his murder to the case of a missing young girl, so the child-protection officers are also brought in - though it soon becomes apparent the youngster's social worker blames herself for the disappearance. First in a two-part story, starring Emilia Fox, David Caves and Richard Lintern, with Claudie Blakley, Lorraine Burroughs and John Dagliesh. Continues tomorrow.
