SYNOPSIS
To celebrate Horizon's 50th anniversary, the programme invites viewers to play a role in tackling the greatest challenges facing science today. Alice Roberts is at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich to launch a public vote for the Longitude Prize 2014, with Michael Mosley, Liz Bonnin, Iain Stewart, Helen Czerski, Kevin Fong and Saleyha Ahsan each examining one of the six nominated challenges that are in the running for the £10million award.
