SYNOPSIS

Nacionalni park Brijuni kupio je 1893. godine austrijski industrijalac Paul Kupelwieser da bi, kako je pisao "svojoj djeci u nasljedstvo ostavio mogućnost za rad, koji bih, po mogućnosti ja organizirao i konsolidirao". Taj, tada gotovo pusti prostor i leglo malarije, kupio je od tršćanskog industrijalca Wildija za 75.000 zlatnih forinti koji je ovaj, samo mjesec dana prije, platio samo 48.000 forinti. I krenuo doslovno ni od ničega. Tako su Brijuni, simbolički i stvarno, postali njegov novi dom i središte poslovnog carstva.
