Grand Designs: North Devon

SYNOPSIS

In 2012, Edward and Hazel Short set out to build a brand new, art deco, shining white lighthouse tower with additional bedrooms, guest rooms, and an infinity pool on the side, with a budget in excess of £1 million. Their site was a rugged but beautiful clifftop in north Devon. However, their wildly optimistic plans ran into trouble almost immediately, forcing a dramatic re-think of the entire project.
