SYNOPSIS

Michael Portillo embarks on a journey from Ayr to Skye. He begins by visiting the home town of poet Robert Burns and finds out the way to make haggis. He then discovers how the railway transformed the game of golf in Prestwick, and uncovers the story of the great Victorian tartan hoax in Paisley.
