Lark Rise to Candleford

SYNOPSIS

Dorcas is horrified when Sydney catches measles. The disease begins to spread through the children of Lark Rise, and as the women of the hamlet find themselves caring for the sick, it becomes increasingly likely that the harvest will not be gathered on time. When Daniel realises the residents could suffer severe food shortages during the winter, he postpones his departure and heads for Candleford to make an impassioned plea for help.
