SEASON: 1
SYNOPSIS
This week Cesar Andre are in Los Angeles, performing live take home tips at their show right on the water in Long Beach, helping dog owners with ball obsession, dog aggression, and an English Mastiff who attacks the vacuum cleaner. Cesar also helps the owners of Fergus, a Golden Retriever who survived a horrific burn down his back, and whose owners hope can one day become a therapy dog for other burn survivors. Fergus has a leash aggression issue however, which must be resolved if he's ever to be certified. Cesar systematically shows Fergus' owners how to lead him, both around the neighborhood and even at the DPC around a gauntlet of senses designed to distract him. Fergus passes and looks well on his way to realizing the dream of becoming a certified therapy dog. Cesar and Andre also visit The Help Group, a non-profit that uses dogs to help kids struggling with emotional challenges. The dogs seem to help in verbal and mental skills, and even with motor skills, helping some kids through an obstacle course. Andre has an emotional moment as he reveals a personal connection. He has relatives with emotional challenges, and seeing a group of great kids like this restores his faith in Dog Nation.
