SYNOPSIS

Camille Pissarro jedan je od "otaca impresionizma". Počeo je kao Corotov učenik, a zatim se nastanio u Pontoiseu gdje je slikao francuski ruralni život, osobito pejzaže i scene koje prikazuju seljake na poljima. No slavan je i po svojim prizorima s Montmartrea.
U Parizu su njegovi učenici među ostalima bili i Paul Cézanne, Paul Gaugin, Jean Peské i Henri-Martin Lamotte. Pissarro je bio i teoretičar anarhije te se družio sa slikarima koji su se okupljali u kafiću Nouvelle Athènes i pripadali anarhističkom pokretu.
