The fifth of the seven Road movies is one of the best, even though the formula remains pretty much as before - entertainers Bing Crosby and Bob Hope go on the run, fall for Dorothy Lamour, become rivals for her love and land in hot water. This time, Lamour is being hypnotised by her aunt (the delightfully wicked Gale Sondergaard) so that she'll marry a Brazilian she dislikes. "I find myself saying things and I don't know why I say them," says Lamour. "Why don't you just run for Congress," quips Hope. Added attractions are the Andrews Sisters singing You Don't Have To Know the Language with Bing, and the zany Wiere Brothers doing their famous hat routine.
