Sydney Bloom (Lori Spelling – Fame, Footloose, The Man With One Red Shoe) is a young woman who works as a telephone engineer. Sydney lives an almost solitary existence except for the companionship of her childhood best friend, Duncan (Michael Easton – One Life To Live, Two, 413 Hope St.), and her hobby of virtual reality games; inspired by her father, Dr. Joseph Bloom, who created an advanced form of virtual reality.

Through an accidental fluke, Sydney discovers that she is capable of accessing VR.5: Virtual Sensory Reality – a virtual reality stage which allows her subconscious to communicate with other people’s subconscious. But this newfound sensation is a mysterious and confusing capability as Sydney finds herself drawn into a secretive and unsettling organization as she seeks guidance and explanation…
