Journalist Nick Wallis joins police forces across the nation to discover how CCTV and other technological advances are helping to bring criminals to justice. The first episode focuses on drunkenness and violence, with Nick going to Chester on a race day to find out how the local council and police are using cameras to deal with the 50,000 people descending on the city. In Rotherham, South Yorkshire, operators Martyn and Dave keep in radio contact with nightclub bouncers to prevent trouble at the weekend.
