POVZETEK

Vikingi se uspejo zasidrati in utaboriti na angleških tleh. Kralj Aelle pošlje svojega brata Aethelwulfa nad prišleke, vendar jih Vikingi uspejo poraziti in ujamejo Aethelwulfa. Ragnar se sestane s kraljem ter za mir in njegovega brata zahteva odkupnino. Aelle najprej pristane na ponudbo, vendar ima za poganske severnjake druge načrte. Nad njih pošlje svojo vojsko, ki jo Ragnar s svojimi možmi zopet porazi in kralju pošlje Aethelwulfovo truplo.
