SADRžAJ
Art professor Alex (Matheson) had an affair with student Sheila (Garth) because he thought he lost his wife (Young) to cancer. But then his wife goes into complete remission, and he dumps Sheila. However, Sheila wont take no for an answer, and she plots revenge against this man. First, she doesnt give back his painting. Second, she tries to seduce his son (Facinelli). Theres even a murder of a paroled inmate that somehow gets mixed up in the plot. Not to mention a visit by the Naturalization and Immigration Dept.
Convinced that his wife will soon die of cancer, art professor Tim Matheson has an affair with a spunky student played by Jennie Garth. But when the missuss cancer goes into remission, he tells Lolita to take a hike. Not likely in a movie where Garth is listed as co-executive producer! From this point on, its attempted murder, actual murder, an affair with Mathesons son and even a surprise visit from the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service - of all people. A gen-X Fatal Attraction, this far-fetched but entertaining melodrama is enlivened by lines like: "I wasted a year of my life waiting for that woman to die."
Grade: B
Heres a "Fatal Attraction" wannabe for easy Sunday night viewing. Starring Jennie Garth as a spurned ingenue, Tim Matheson as the man shes got to have at any cost and some spectacular Southwest desert scenery, the two-hour melodrama meanders pleasantly enough between lust and desperation.
